As of January 2023, you can now see the current high bid in an auction. Plus, if you place an absentee bid, you can see if you are winning, if the reserve hasn't been met, or if you've been outbid.
If you're looking at the auction overview page, you'll see the current high bid below the estimate:
If you are looking at the details for a specific lot, you can also see the current high bid next to the estimate:
If you place an absentee bid, you will be able to see the status of your bid(s) in three places.
If you're looking at the lot that you bid on, you will see your bid in green if you are winning, and in red if the reserve has not been met or if you've been outbid.
Here, you can quickly see the status of your absentee bids at a glance:
Winning means you are the current high bidder.
Increase means you are the high bidder, but the reserve has not yet been met.
Outbid means someone else is the high bidder.
If you are logged into your personal Zacke account, click on your name in the top-right corner, and select Current Bids:
There, you can see the status of all your current bids and increase as desired by clicking on the button that says Edit:
Note: You cannot lower your bids in auctions with competitive bidding, as your bid may push up another person's bid.
If you place your absentee bids through our website, you will receive an email about the status of your bids.
If you email us your bids using our classic bidding form, you will not receive an email, but can still easily check the status in your account and on the auction pages.
You will not see if anyone has placed telephone bids, and you will not be able to see the status of your telephone bid compared to absentee bids.
