Northern India, 19th century. Finely cast, seated in dhyanasana atop a rectangular cushion supported by two Buddhist lions on a double lotus pedestal, holding his right hand in bhumisparsha mudra. Wearing monastic robes with elegant folds, pooling slightly at his feet, his serene face with almond-shaped eyes, full lips forming a calm smile, all below slender brows. His hair is arranged in tight curls around a round ushnisha.
Condition: Good condition with wear, casting flaws, minor old repairs, remnants of silver gilding, drilled hole from sample-taking, and small nicks.
