A BLACK AND CINNABAR TIXI LACQUER CIRCULAR BOX AND COVER, MING DYNASTY
明代剔黑蓋盒

China, 1368-1644. The domed circular cover decorated with floral and ruyi design carved through a thick layer of black lacquer alternating with several thin red layers. The base and interior lacquered in black with a narrow wave design just above the base.
Provenance: From a private collection in Brisbane, Australia.
Condition: Very good condition with minor aged wear with a few cracks, nicks and scratches, possibly few minor old repairs.

If you try to place a bid that is higher than €500, you will not be able to do so.
