Join Galerie Zacke for Fine Chinese Art, Buddhism & Hinduism, a premium two-day live auction event featuring more than 700 works of art from China, Southeast Asia, India, and beyond.

The centerpiece of our spring calendar – the flagship Chinese art auction – will happen on Day 1 of the sale (lots 1-258), featuring important pieces from renowned collections. The general auction will follow on Day 2 (lots 259-702), offering items for avid art collectors and first-time buyers alike.

Both sales together contain no less than 39 Imperial mark and period pieces, the earliest being a Yongle mark and period gilt-bronze of Avalokiteshvara (lot 160), and the latest a Xuantong mark and period flambé-glazed porcelain Hu (lot 132).

Notable provenances include the J. M. Hu, Zande Lou Collection, one of the most significant collections of Chinese ceramics; Dr. Rudolf Leopold, the namesake of the Leopold Museum in Vienna; and the Wou Lien-Pai Museum in the United Kingdom; as well as many prestigious names such as Hugh Moss, Michael Weisbrod, Spink & Son, Marchant, E & J Frankel, Professor Jan Wirgin, Robert Rousset, the John and Susan Huntington Collection, the Richard and Magdalena Ernst Collection, Anton Exner, Robert H. Ellsworth, Anthony Gustav de Rothschild, and the Academy Award winners Michael Phillips (Taxi Driver, The Sting) and Anthony Powell (Death on the Nile).
